Renovation of a mixed-use development in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Beaver County School District is sending out an Invitation to bid (ITB) to replace doors throughout the district at Beaver High School, Milford High School and Milford Elementary The district is willing to consider any and all bids that meet the minimum specifications and requirements. The district reserves the right to accept or reject any bid. The district reserves the right to accept part or all of any bids. Scope of Work 1. Contractor is to verify in person the doors that will be replaced and take measurements. Please make an appointment with Roger Hatch (435) 691-2400 as soon as possible. See attachment for doors and frames that will be replaced. 2. Remove existing doors and keep hardware for the district. 3. Provide all materials and labor to install new doors and hardware. 4. Repair any damages to surrounding areas that occurred through removal and install. 5. Doors must be high quality commercial grade with minimum 16 gauge hollow metal doors with continuous gear hinges. 6. If doors need to be painted, school picks the color. Paint frames to match doors. 7. Doors must be able to work with our current electronic system (DSX) 8. Door closure to be used is a 4040 XP. BID SECURITY Bidders will be required to provide bid security in an amount equal to at least 5% of the bid at the time the bid is submitted, if the bid amount is $50,000 or greater. Acceptable bid security shall be limited to: (a) A bid bond underwritten by a company licensed to issue bid bonds in this state and listed in the U.S. Department of the Treasury circular 570; (b) A cashier's, certified, or official check drawn by a federally insured financial institution made payable to the (BCSD) board of education; or (c) Cash. The bid bond, check or cash of the accepted bidder shall be forfeited in the event said bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract and/or fails to furnish the additional bonds required herein. Checks submitted in lieu of bid bonds from unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon request. The bid bond may be scanned and uploaded with an electronic bid, submitted by fax 435-438-5898 or delivered to the BCSD purchasing department. If submitted by fax or delivered to the purchasing department the bid number must be clearly indicated and it must be received prior to the bid due date and time. BCSD makes no guarantee of fax availability at any given time. If submitting a certified check, it must be delivered to the BCSD purchasing department prior to the bid due date and time. The successful bidder must present the original bid bond (if an electronic copy was submitted with the bid) before a purchase order will be issued. 4. BONDS The successful bidder must submit to the BCSD school board full performance and payment bonds in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price for any job that is $50,000 or greater. [All surety firms must be authorized to do business in the state of Utah and be listed in the U.S. Department of the Treasury circular 570, companies holding certificates of authority as acceptable securities on federal bonds and as acceptable reinsuring companies for an amount not less than the amount of the bond to be issued.] A co surety may be utilized to satisfy this requirement. The purchase order will not be transmitted to the contractor, work cannot begin and no payments will be made until bonds have been received by BCSD. Bonding costs must be included in the bid price. AWARD OR REJECTION OF BIDS The bids will be opened in a public bid opening. The award of the contract shall not be based solely upon the contractor's price. The contractor's qualifications, subcontractors list, cost breakdown, proposed construction schedule and contractor's project references shall be considered in awarding the contract. The owner, however, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in bids received. The award of the contract will be based on the following criteria: Contractor's bid price 60% Proposed construction schedule 10% Contractor's qualifications and experience with similar projects 10% Subcontractors list and project cost breakdown 5% References 15% Question Submission Close Date 10/12/2023 12:00 AM MDT
