Cecil County, Maryland, is requesting proposals for the UPGRADE SOLID WASTE OPERATIONS FACILITY - CECIL COUNTY CENTRAL LANDFILL as specified within the attached drawings and specifications, from qualified firms, individuals, etc., having specific experience identified in the Request for Proposal (RFP). Additional Instructions This contract includes the construction of a new Solid Waste Operations Building housing offices, toilet rooms, break room, conference room, truck parking bays, and a small equipment repair shop, as well as mechanical, electrical, and storage rooms, and the phased demolition of three existing operations buildings, located at 758 E. Old Philadelphia Road in Elkton, Maryland, including: A new 10,000 SF building composed of load bearing CMU walls supporting engineered wood truss roof; Site work; Plumbing; HVAC; Electrical including installation of new backup generator; and, Demolition of a 2000 SF stick-built building, a 2700 SF metal building, and a 1900 SF modular building. It is the intent of the Cecil County Government to execute an agreement with the most qualified Contractor. To that end, Cecil County Government supports and encourages the formation of teams that maximize the qualifications of the respondents in all aspects of construction. The composition of the Respondent's team or team configuration shall be clearly defined and stated within the proposal.
