As of February 11, 2025, this feasibility study has been completed. There is no construction planned. The City of Cle Elum is inviting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms interested in providing professional engineering including planning for the Columbia Avenue Extension Railroad Crossing Feasibility Study. The feasibility study will include right of way, equity, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway coordination, environmental, and funding exploration. The total project cost including all professional services is approximately $65,600.
