The City of Midway seeks to identify firms with substantial experience and capabilities to provide a variety of architectural and engineering design services including conceptual/preliminary design, design development, public meetings and presentations, preparation of bid and construction documents, and construction administration for construction of a community service building in the City of Midway. The new facility or expansion of an existing facility will be located at 420 Palmer Road, Midway Florida. All work shall follow current code requirements. The selected consultant shall prepare all documents in the formats required by the City and shall adhere to all City deadlines so as not to negatively impact the project schedule. The new building will be known as the Euguene Lamb Jr. Community Center and will house office space for administrative staff, meeting/conference rooms, classrooms, locker rooms with showers, gymnasium (basketball court). It is anticipated that the facility will be a one-story to be determined square foot. Although not preferred, a multi-level facility configuration may be considered during the alternatives analysis phase if space limitations become a factor during the evaluation. The City is interested in pursuing any available and applicable grant funding (source not identified) for construction of this new facility. Interested design professionals should demonstrate experience and success with recent grant funding efforts, if applicable. 2. QUALIFICATIONS Firms interested in providing the required services must submit a Statement of Qualifications containing tabbed sections for the elements identified in the evaluation criteria. LEED or similar energy efficient design concepts should be integrated into the design, though certification is not required.
