This is an invitation seeking proposals from consultants for the provision of the assessment of needs for outdoor sports programs and facilities. The purpose of this IRFP is to consider current recreation trends and community needs relative to expanded outdoor sports opportunities in Sunnyvale parks, especially pickleball, tennis, and cricket. The study would look at programs and facilities in neighboring cities and engage the Sunnyvale community through surveys and needs assessments, including community outreach meetings, relative to the activities. The Study shall also include current facility use and demand, long-range park capital projects, and consider future opportunities and partnerships with the potential to impact land use and service delivery for these emerging recreation needs. Proposals should be brief but concise and based on the Consultant Scope of Services. Failure to comply with all requirements may result in a determination that the proposer is nonresponsive. All questions related to this Request for Proposals shall be addressed directly to the Buyer at dbattaglia@sunnyvale.ca.gov Contact with other City employees during the proposal process is expressly prohibited without prior written consent of the City's Buyer. Proposers who directly contact City employees risk elimination of their proposals from consideration. Deadline for Consultant's Question is October 9, 2023. There will not be a public opening of this IRFP. Responses will be available to the public for review after Contract Award. The term of this Agreement shall be one (1) year from the execution date, unless otherwise terminated in accordance with Section 17 below. CONSULTANT shall deliver the agreed upon services to CITY as specified in Exhibit "A". The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
