The South Tempe Water Treatment Plant (STWTP) is located at 6600 S. Price Road and has been in operation since the late 1970's with several expansions and improvements over the years. STWTP is rated to treat up to 50 MGD, however, the plant has some operational challenges that many times limit the City from being able to treat to its full capacity, that this project intends to improve. Many of the systems and treatment basins at STWTP are original and are in need of rehabilitation and some improvements are needed to increase the reliability and efficiency of the plant. This project will provide for the design of rehabilitation and reconstruction of some existing treatment systems and installation of improvements to existing systems at STWTP, as outlined below in the Scope of Work. The initial design is anticipated to begin during the 23-24 fiscal year, and it is anticipated that the selected firm will also provide post-design services, inspections and construction administration on the project.
