The Work Shall Consist of the Reconstruction of Placide, Jada, Quad and Woodlawn Roads in Vermilion Parish. Approximate Quantities Shall Include 40Tons of Pavement Patching, 1,800Tons of Super pave Asphaltic Concrete (Modified), 8,700Linear Feet of Scarifying, Pulverizing, Shaping, and Compacting Roadbed, 20,000Square Yards of Pulverizing and Processing Soil Cement Base, 4,500Barrels of Portland Cement, and Associated Work. As evidence of good faith of the bidder, a Bid Guarantee equivalent to 5% of the base bid plus any additive alternates, consisting of a firm commitment, such as a bid bond, certified check, or cashiers check, shall accompany each bid as assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of his bid, execute such contractual documents as may be required and within the time specified. The successful Contractor will be required to execute a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract as more fully defined in the Bidding Documents The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause (R.S. 38:2214.B).
