The Board of Trustees of the Village of Carpentersville, IL is soliciting Statement of Qualifications from qualified architectural firms to provide planning, architectural and engineering design, and construction management services for the new Public Safety and Village Hall Building. The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is not an invitation to Bid; responses will be evaluated on the basis of the relative merits of the Firm's qualifications. There will be no public opening and reading of responses received by the Village. The Village reserves the right to reject all proposals and is not responsible for the respondent costs related to preparing a response to this RFQ. They will launch their work in a kickoff meeting in November 2025. The process, which includes a needs assessment, design creation and construction cost estimate, is expected to be done by September 2025. Carpentersville had an evaluation done of the current village hall and police department a few years ago. It also determined that the cost of renovating the existing building would probably be as much, if not more, than trying to build something from scratch on the same property. The village owns an entire block with open space behind village hall so new construction space is available.
