Renovation of a service station / car wash facility in South Hempstead, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a service station / car wash facility.

As of December 1, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline or award has not yet been established. The Town ofHempstead (the "Town") seeks proposals from qualifying Vendors authorized to do business in the State ofNew York, to provide for the design, installation and operation of electric vehicle charging stations to be installed at various locations specified by the Town (and updated from time to time). At this time, the Town anticipates 2 locations to be offered. The first location is at Town Hall, 350 Front Street, Hempstead, NY 11550. The second location is at 200 North Franklin Street, Hempstead, NY 11550 The Town is establishing a program to provide electric vehicle charging stations to be used by operators of Electric Vehicles (EV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV). The stations can be installed and operated by a third party vendor at Town designated locations. Such locations will include, but are not limited to, Town facilities and parking venues, Town-owned and operated Long Island Railroad Station parking lots, and other such locations as may be arranged through mutual agreement ofthe Town and the property owner.
