South Jordan City desires to select one construction company to provide construction services for South Jordan City's 10200 S Roadway Improvements, South Jordan, Utah. The intent of this solicitation is to receive a proposal with a statement of qualifications (SOQ) from Contractors and a price to furnish and install new roadway improvements in 10200 S from approximately 3000 W to 2700 W as shown on the drawings and all the appurtenances related to the work requested. The project consists of constructing roadway improvements at 10200 S from 3000 West to 2700 West, but it is not limited to; mobilization and site preparation; clearing and removal of trees and vegetation; demolition of existing concrete and asphalt; demolition of existing canal appurtenances; demolition of existing irrigation and storm drain; furnishing and installation of box culver and canal appurtenances; furnishing and installation of storm drain pipeline and appurtenances; furnishing and installation of irrigation pipeline and appurtenances; furnishing and installation of concrete works; road excavation; furnishing and installation of untreated base course; furnishing and installation of 3/4 " HMA; furnishing and installation of streetlights and appurtenances; furnishing and installation of street signs; thermoplastic markings, and items listed in the bid schedule. The contractor is expected to complete the work within 140 calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed. The installation of the culvert and all the work within the Utah Distribution Canal shall be completed before April 1, 2024. The City anticipates that a Notice to Proceed will be given on January 1, 2024 but reserves the right to change such date. Consultants need to examine the RFP carefully to become thoroughly familiar with all conditions and requirements that may affect the work to be performed under the contract. Contractors are expected to follow all local, city, state, and federal standards, codes, and specifications. Contractors shall review the RFP in order to provide a statement of qualifications that covers the minimum requirements. The City does not provide Bidders lists or Planholders lists. The City reserves the right to award this bid in full or in part. All inquiries and responses must be made online via SciQuest. No paper bids will be accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any Bid if the City believes that it would not be in the best interest of the project or the City. Without limitation, such rejection may be because the Bid is not responsive, or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful ability or the Bid or Bidder fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the City, as solely determined by City. B.The Bid Security may be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, cash, or Bid Bond. No other form of Bid Security will be accepted. A Bid Bond must be issued by a licensed Utah agency on behalf of a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Utah. A certified check or cashier's check must be drawn on a bank doing business in the State of Utah and made payable to OWNER. If a certified check, cashier's check, or cash is used in lieu of a Bid Bond, or if the Bid Bond does not specifically so provide, a certificate from an approved surety company guaranteeing execution of performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the bid must accompany the bid unless specified herein. Bidders should attach a scanned copy of their Bid Bond to their Bid package.
