The City of South Jordan Public Works Department is requesting proposals from qualified contractors for inspection and cleaning services of our potable water tanks located in the city. The City expects to award a five (5)-year agreement to perform tank inspection and cleaning services for the City under this RFP. The selected contractor will be tasked with performing a comprehensive evaluation of the condition of the interior of the tanks, completely removing sediment, and cleaning the concrete walls. The required work will be performed while the tanks are out of service and drained. The work will consist of 2 tanks per year, except for year 5 with only one tank. This service will have to be performed in off peak months; therefore, coordination with the City will be crucial. The tanks are concrete and below the surface. There are access hatches for both equipment and entry. The tanks are equipped with a drain and washout assembly inside the tank. The City reserves the right to reject any Bid if the City believes that it would not be in the best interest of the project or the City. Without limitation, such rejection may be because the Bid is not responsive, or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful ability or the Bid or Bidder fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the City, as solely determined by City.
