South Jordan City is seeking proposals from Landscaping Contractors to perform landscape maintenance for Park Strips, Streetscapes, Storm Water Basins, the Cemetery, and Water Tank property throughout the City. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, disposal, and incidentals necessary to provide a complete landscape and maintenance program. To be eligible a Contractor must have a local operation/office within 50 miles of South Jordan City. Specific Maintenance Work Includes but is not limited to: 1. Normal weed control for trees, shrubs, groundcovers, and perennials including existing and proposed plantings. 2.Weekly mowing, trimming, edging, and weed control. 3. Seasonal aerating and fertilization of turf areas. 4.Weekly site inspection of potential insect, pest, and disease problems and filing monthly status report. 5. Annual spring "green-up" including fertilization (fertilizer shall be approved by City representative) and clean-up of winter damage. 6. Annual fall clean-up of leaves, and aeration and fertilization of turf areas. 7.Weekly clean-up of trash, litter, and debris in landscape areas (including water wise landscaped areas), gutters, and sidewalks. 8. Light pruning, to include removal of suckers and water sprouts as they appear on trees. 9. Sweep or blow rocks and debris from hardscapes at least monthly or more frequently as needed, including but not limited to medians, stamped concrete, planters, round-a-bouts, etc. 10. Clean up from storm events including but not limited to debris removal, fallen tree or branches removal, flood damage, etc. 11. Cemetery - Includes only trimming around headstones, and along roadways, walkways, and fences. The City does not provide Bidders lists or Planholders lists. The City reserves the right to award this bid in full or in part. All inquiries and responses must be made online via SciQuest. No paper bids will be accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any Bid if the City believes that it would not be in the best interest of the project or the City. Without limitation, such rejection may be because the Bid is not responsive, or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful ability or the Bid or Bidder fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the City, as solely determined by City.
