Renovation of a multi-residential development in Lowell, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The Lowell Housing Authority (the Authority) is seeking proposals for Civil Engineering and Design Services for the upgrades and improvements of the back patio area of Cityview Towers located at 657 Merrimack Street. This project shall be in compliance with safety and code requirements and in support of the anticipated HUD Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) inspections. It is our intent to award a contract to one experienced design firm. The Lowell Housing Authority's Cityview Towers ("CVT", formerly Dewey Archambault Towers) is a public housing development with eight (8) floors. Basement: offices, maintenance facility, fire suppression controls & equipment, utilities controls & equipment, and resident laundry facilities. Ground floor: Development property offices, resident community rooms and the LHA's executive office suite. There are seven (7) residential apartment floors consisting of 189 studio and one-bedroom apartments. This building serves disabled and elderly populations; it was constructed c.1971.
