Renovation of a municipal facility in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The City of Charleston is soliciting qualifications from interested firms for Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) with expertise in pre-construction and construction of municipal facilities with emphasis on commercial civic construction. A selection committee will evaluate submittals and will select, at a minimum, 3 firms to interview before final selection The City of Charleston Hope Center provides critical services to people experiencing homelessness in the Lowcountry. The 10,000 square foot building program creates a blend of public and private spaces including sleeping quarters, a medical clinic, restrooms with showers, a laundry room, a serving kitchen, and office space that supports other social services. The most qualified firm as determined by selection committee may negotiate the scope of services. Upon the successful negotiation of a fee and contract with the City, the selected contractor shall begin on the scope of services listed below. The scope of services will be conducted in coordination with an existing project team (under a separate contract). Anticipated Construction Cost Range: $5,500,000-$6,000,000
