St. Lawrence County reserves the right to consider the bids for forty-five (45) days after receipt before awarding any Contract, and to waive any minor informalities in, and to reject, any and all bids. The EEO Employment goals for this project are: 2.5% Minority Employment Goal , 6.9% Women Employment Goal The Owner is St. Lawrence County, and the work site is located in the Town of Potsdam. The project limits extend from approximately 425 feet south of the existing bridge to approximately 250 feet north of the existing bridge, including work along Morley-Potsdam Road from approximately 440 feet west of County Road 35 to approximately 285 feet east of County Road 35. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: complete removal of the existing bridge superstructure with partial removal of existing bridge substructures and replacement with a new single span, steel multi-girder superstructure and a monolithic concrete deck slab, construction of integral abutments founded on piles, construction of approach slabs at each end of the bridge, re-alignment of Trout Brook within the project limits, re-alignment of the intersections of Morley-Potsdam Road and County Road 35, installation of SPDES storm water treatment swales and drainage, and reconstruction of roadway approaches as required to accommodate bridge replacement efforts.
