Construction is expected January 2027. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference:* Professional Engineering Services for FY24 Miscellaneous Waterline Replacement Project & Angier Avenue Elevated Tank Drainage Study All questions related to this RFQ are to be submitted in writing to the following contact person(s) by October 20th, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. Kasim Azhar, PE, Principal Engineer, Department of Water Management, 1600 Mist Lake Dr, Durham, North Carolina 27704, P: (919) 560-4381 Ext. 35220, Kasim.Azhar@DurhamNC.gov Through this Request for Qualifications (RFQ), the City of Durham, Department of Water Management (DWM) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from firms to provide professional engineering services for miscellaneous waterline replacement projects. The DWM is responsible for infrastructure operation, maintenance, evaluation, rehabilitation, and improvement of the water distribution system throughout the City of Durham. As part of the Department's ongoing evaluation and rehabilitation efforts, the following areas. 15/501 & Cornwallis Rd - extend existing 12-inch waterline along 15/501 from Hope Valley Rd to W Cornwallis Rd to complete a new 12-inch loop to improve fire flows to surrounding areas (Figure 1) Alma St & Evergreen St- replace approximately 1,600 LF of waterline in Alma St from Juniper St to Holloway St and 1,000 LF of waterline in Evergreen St from N Driver St to N Guthrie St (Figure 2) Crystal Lake Rd - extend 8-inch waterline in Crystal Lake Dr from Camellia Dr to Guess Rd to complete loop and eliminate dead end lines (Figure 3) Liberty St, Queen St, N Dillard St & Holloway St - replacement of approximately 450 LF of 6-inch waterline and 2,500 LF of 12-inch waterline. Waterline to be replaced in the following areas (Figure 4): Liberty St from N Roxboro St to N Dillard St N Queen St from E Main St to Liberty St N Dillard St from Liberty St to Holloway St Holloway St from N Roxboro St to N Dillard St Angier Ave Tank Drainage Study - conduct a study to evaluate drainage of water flushed from Angier Avenue Elevated Storage Tank, including evaluating current drainage conveyance and providing alternative drainage conveyance means as deemed necessary (Figure 5)
