As of July 26, 2024, information regarding the award and award date has not been disclosed. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Said project to include, but not limited to Prairie Village requesting Architectural Design Services for a Site Design Study to evaluate locations for a new community center and relocation of the Corinth Library Branch for Johnson County Library. The City of Prairie Village has entered into separate Memorandums of Understanding "MOU" with the YMCA as the operational manager of the community center and Johnson County Library "Library" to evaluate potential site locations within Harmon Park. The community center project would be in partnership with the YMCA as the operational manager and replace the current Paul Henson YMCA facility. The Johnson County Library is interested in exploring the possibility of relocating the Corinth Library Branch in proximity to the Community Center. It is anticipated that this phase of the project will include all initial site design and community engagement. Non-resident corporations that are not already registered with the Kansas Secretary of State and all non-resident individuals and partnerships are required by law to register with the Director of Revenue, State Office Building, Topeka, Kansas, and to pay a fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) for each contract as a precedent to commencing work on the contract. For contracts in excess of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000), the foreign contractor shall file with the Director of Revenue an acceptable bond for ten percent (10%) of the contract.
