Scope of Work
The bidder shall submit a project plan using the design standards below that is in compliance with all
applicable HUD, EPA, and State of Illinois regulations as well as all local building and zoning codes. The
plan must include a clear project timeline and budget with line item costs. The contractor shall act as the
general contractor for the project using subcontractors as required. Subcontractors that will be required
should be clearly identified in the project plan.
This Scope of work includes an engineered report needed to complete one of the objectives. The first
thing needs to be completed is remove the basement stairs and install a new set as closest to code as
possible. Due to lack of proper head height and stair opening the run may have to be narrowed down
and possible exceeding the 7 3/4 " height. Full wood risers and treads will be required. A Handrail
down the open side of the steps is need from the bottom to the top landing.
Second Part of this is to form up from the existing block wall to the subflooring. Reinforce the forms
to ensure not to blow out. Install 6 mill moisture barrier over the dirt floor and up the sides of stone
foundation , any over laps need to be 6" and taped. Once the forms are in place add flowable
concrete in the crawlspace area filling up to the subfloor with out raising up the addition. This scope
of work goes along with IMEGs report. Protect any utilities in the area being filled from being
crushed, shorting out, or becoming disconnected. Any holes cut in the through the subflooring for
concrete placement must be patched and put back to the condition before the work began.
Final part of this project is to remove all the gutters and downs. Install new 5" gutters with the
proper fall along the roofline. Install downs in locations to direct water flow away from the home as
well as shedding any water on to neighboring property. Install 6" tailpipes with hinged elbows at all
the locations. The primary contact person for this project is the City's Construction Officer.
