Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work generally consists of the construction of Horizontal Collector Well No. 7 - Contract 1 - Caisson & Laterals, including temporary provisions, concrete caisson, lateral projections, well development, pump testing, and all appurtenant work. Type of Bid - Bids shall be on a lump sum basis. Bid security, as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code, in the amount of FIVE percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. On request, OWNER will provide Bidder access to the Site to conduct such examinations, investigations, explorations, tests, and studies as Bidder deems necessary for submission of a Bid. Bidder shall fill all holes and clean up and restore the Site to its former condition upon completion of such explorations, investigations, tests, and studies. Contract Time Information Milestones: Substantial Completion - December 27, 2024 Final Completion: January 28, 2025 The City Council of the City of Cedar Rapids reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to enter such contracts as it deems in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for 45 calendar days after the bids have been received and opened.
