Improvements for this project will generally include replacing an existing drainage inlet with a larger catch basin structure and a new storm drain lateral that is capped. The improvements also include replacing sections of concrete curb and gutter with asphalt concrete gutter and dike, and surface restoration. The work will take place on local (residential) roads in the Marin City in the landscaped area north of the Drake Avenue and Donahue Street intersection. In the future, additional improvements will be made to the area that are not in this contract. Construction will take place in the nighttime hours with traffic control. Questions concerning the Bid should be submitted via Bid Express no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A License at time of bid submittal. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the County of Marin shall accompany the Proposal.
