Prime Consultant Services for Infrastructure Assessment at Crimson Lake Provincial Park Crimson Lake Provincial Park offers year-round camping just 14 km west of Rocky Mountain House. The park offers many recreational opportunities, such as camping, boating, swimming, hiking, mountain biking or skiing. Crimson Lake Provincial Park consists of 161 powered sites (15 and 30 amp) as well as three group sites and one group use area. Nearby Twin Lakes Campground is a part of Crimson Lake Provincial Park and has 39 un-serviced sites on its own lake and amenities. Many existing park facilities and amenities have remained unchanged since the 80's. In addition, some infrastructure is in poor condition and below current provincial standards. Public safety, erosion, circulation, congestion, inadequate power, and campground amenities are a few existing site challenges identified by Parks staff. In response to these issues, Alberta Forestry and Parks has initiated plans to upgrade Crimson Lake Provincial Park facilities and amenities. The first step in the process (this project) is to complete a Park Infrastructure Assessment to evaluate the condition of all existing infrastructure and amenities. Following the process outlined in this RFP, the successful Proponent will work with the Province to document current issues and site conditions as well as develop recommendations / options for the future. As a planning document, the Assessment will serve as a decision making tool for the Province to prioritize projects for future implementation in the park. The purpose of this RFP is to invite Proposals from suitably qualified Proponents who demonstrate sufficient experience and qualification to provide information gathering, assessment and analysis, recommendations, costing and reporting services for a Park Infrastructure Assessment at Crimson Lake Provincial Park. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
