**As of November 2,2023, project was awarded tO Piazza Construction but awarded amount is not available.** The purpose of our study, as outlined in Amendment No. 24 dated April 6, 2022, was to generate geotechnical information for the design and construction of the project. Our scope of services included reviewing selected published geologic data pertinent to the site; evaluating the subsurface conditions with test pits and laboratory tests; analyzing the field and laboratory data; and presenting this report with the following geotechnical information: 1. A brief description of the soil, bedrock, and groundwater conditions observed during our study; 2. A discussion of seismic hazards that may affect the proposed improvements; and 3. Seismic design criteria per guidelines in the 2019 California Building Code; and 4. Conclusions and recommendations regarding: a. Primary geotechnical engineering concerns and mitigating measures, as applicable; b. Site preparation and grading including remedial grading of weak, porous, compressible, surface soil and heterogeneous fill; c. Foundation type(s), design criteria, and estimated settlement behavior; d. Lateral loads for retaining wall design; e. Support of concrete slabs-on-grade; f. Utility trench backfill; g. Geotechnical engineering drainage improvements; and h. Supplemental geotechnical engineering services.
