Marion County is soliciting fully licensed and qualified firms to submit bids for the STATE ROAD NO. 93 NORTHBOUND REST AREA WATER & SEWER PLANS project. The project is located in the southwest quadrant of Marion County, Florida. The project corridor includes COUNTY and State right-of-way. The successful bidder will be responsible for all permits unless stated otherwise within this document and must be licensed by Marion County and State of Florida to perform such work. Project Manager for this project is Mark Thomas, P.E. of the Marion County Utilities Department (MCUD), Construction Manager for this project is Alejandro Rad of MCUD, and the Project Engineer of Record (EOR) for this project is Dillon J. Goodell, P.E. of WGI, Inc. The successful bidder must be licensed for this type of work and must submit a copy of such license upon award of bid. All local codes and State of Florida ADA Code will apply. All work must be done by experienced trades. 1.1.2. The scope of this project includes construction of a new lift station, gravity sewer, grinder manhole, water main, and force main. Work includes construction of new gravity main, force main, construction of new water service, site work, installation of new wet well structure, all electrical components, and all mechanical components necessary for a complete and functional lift station. Start-up and coordination of electric service are also included. 1.1.3. The COUNTY will supply the pumps and control panel for the lift station to be constructed with this project. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for transporting these items from COUNTY's facilities to the project site if necessary. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for installing these items at the lift station. 1.1.4. This project includes work through FDOT right of way (ROW) and an FDOT rest area. The FDOT is concurrently performing site improvements at the FDOT rest area. The COUNTY and CONTRACTOR shall coordinate with FDOT and FDOT's contractor during the project. The CONTRACTOR shall be prepared to accommodate FDOT's schedule and other requirements for work within FDOT ROW and the rest area.
