The Town of Collingwood requires the services of one or more Landscape Architects or Landscape Architecture firms/ with an Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA) designation to provide an advisory function on matters related to the planning, design, and development of the urban landscape within the Town of Collingwood. It is expected that the consultant(s) will primarily work with the Town of Collingwood's Planning Services; Parks, Recreation and Culture; Public Works; and Engineering Services divisions to interpret and apply applicable legislation (i.e. Planning Act, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities, Act, etc.), Town policies (i.e. Official Plan, Urban Design Manual, Waterfront Master Plan, engineering and parks standards, etc.), development standards, and industry best practices in the planning, design and implementation of Town-initiated projects as well as the peer review of development proposals submitted by the private sector.
