Question Deadline 08/07/2024 All questions about the meaning orintent of these documentsshall be submitted only to the Engineer of Record, stated above, in writing, questions will be accepted 72 hours prior to the time of the Bid Opening. The Project includes, but is not limited to, the following Work: This project will consist of roadway and drainage channel construction, and drainage structure installation, on Crosby Road from its boundary with the US Forest Service and Terminating Southeast of Homestead Trail. The Project has an expected duration of (101) calendar days to substantial completion. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5% percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Such Bid bond will be issued in the form included in the Bidding Documents. Bid security must be at least 5% of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. Substantial Completion: Contractor shall pay Owner $2,000.00 for each day that expires after the time (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) specified above for Substantial Completion, until the Work is substantially complete. Completion of Remaining Work: After Substantial Completion, if Contractor shall neglect, refuse, or fail to complete the remaining Work within the Contract Times (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) for completion and readiness for final payment, Contractor shall pay Owner $2,000.00 for each day that expires after such time until the Work is completed and ready for final payment. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor Bid informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work. Owner will reject the Bid of any Bidder that Owner finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible.
