Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Town of Union, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project includes the following Work: 1. The proposed project will replace the existing underground pump station with a new wetwell and submersible pump station. The project will include new electrical components, pumps and pump controls and discharge pipeline components in a new duplex submersible pump station which is operating beyond its effective useful life. In addition, a new 35KW emergency generator and relocated pump controls and remote monitoring system will be constructed on an adjacent Steel Platform. Bypass pumping during construction is required. The project will require excavation of the new wetwell to a depth of approximately 27' below ground surface and will require shoring and dewatering at a minimum. Other station improvements will include new valving, valve pit, a maintenance crane base and site restoration. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form of a bid bond or certified check, made payable to the Town of Union. Estimated Range $548,000-$550,000. Contractors shall document good faith efforts to solicit active participation by Minority/Women-owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) for provision of labor and/or materials as appropriate. The Town of Union is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages all Section 3 and Minority/WomenOwned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) to submit proposals No bidder may withdraw his bid within 45-days after the actual bid opening thereof, in accordance with the New York State General Municipal Law, Section 105. The bidders should not include in their bid Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on the cost of the materials which are to be incorporated in the Project and which are to be separately sold by the Bidder to the municipality prior to incorporation into the Project. In accordance with New York State General Municipal Law, Section 103, the Town reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any or all bids. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
