Site work for a detention facility in Farmville, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a detention facility.
Seeking a contractor to furnish and install a fence mounted perimeter intrusion detection system (PIDS). Contractor shall provide parts, materials, equipment, and installation services. Scope of Work: 1. The contractor shall furnish, deliver, and install a Fence Mounted Perimeter Intrusion Detection System. The system shall include all parts, materials, equipment and installation services. 2. The perimeter intrusion detection system shall be an electronic vibration/disturbance monitoring and reporting system designed specifically for perimeter protection. The base components of the PIDS shall be manufactured by a single manufacturer who is established in the perimeter protection and security industry for five (5) years or more. 3. The PIDs shall report all intrusion attempts and sensor anomalies on a central computer monitoring station in the form of a custom graphic depicting the physical layout of the site. Satellite images shall not be used as graphic backgrounds. Alarm, tamper, access or shunted, communications failure, or other system alerts shall be indicated on the alarm station monitor by using color-coded graphics overlaid on the site graphic image. Audio voice alerts shall also announce system alerts and abnormalities. The system should have the capability to install eight (8) additional monitoring systems in various locations through the facility. 4. The monitoring system shall be installed on a self-contained server with the capability to expand if needed. The central monitoring system shall be located in the Central Control room. 5. The central computer monitoring station shall report the zone condition for each zone programmed. It shall report the condition of each zone automatically without the users request. The central computer monitoring system station shall report all alarms and condition changes visually by altering the graphic representation of the zone and audibly by announcing the zone number and condition using the computers speakers or external speakers. 6. Alarm resets shall be accompanied by a cause code or a clear test field to allow the operator to type a reason for the alarm condition. Codes shall be established prior to installation. 7. Furnish and install when specified, the PIDS Products pursuant to the manufacturers recommended installation instructions and according to all appliable regulatory codes. The PIDS shall be installed complete, programmed, and tested in a professional manner by manufacturer approved installers.8. Assign a qualified site supervisor to ensure performance of the items installed and to supervise the direct all work to be performed. Upon completion of the project, successful testing of all items shall be performed for acceptance by the facility head. Proposals received from Offerors that did not attend the pre-proposal conference and site visit will not be evaluated.
