Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Allegan, Michigan. Completed plans call for the addition of a 5,217-square-foot, three-story above grade municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a 84,847-square-foot, three-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

INTRODUCTION 1.1 The Scope of Work is divided into the following phases as detailed in the plans and specifications developed by the Architect and included in Attachment C: 1.1.1 Phase I - Courthouse Addition - Contractor must deliver a Certificate of Substantial Completion for this Phase by 11/30/2024 and deliver a Certificate of Occupancy to the County by 12/27/2024. 1.1.2 Phase II - County Services Building Renovation (includes 2 alternates) to be completed according to the timeline in Contractor's proposal unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. 1.1.3 Phase III - Courthouse Renovation (includes 4 alternates) to be completed according to the timeline in Contractor's proposal unless otherwise agreed upon in writing starting no less than 30 days following the completion of Phase II to allow the County to relocate certain personnel from the Courthouse to the newly renovated County Services Building. Worksite Locations: 1.2.1 The Allegan County Courthouse located at 113 Chestnut Street, Allegan, MI 49010 (Phase I and III). 1.2.2 The Allegan County Service Building located at 3283 122nd Avenue, Allegan, MI, 49010 (Phase II). Proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five (5%) percent of the Base Bid. The Bid Security may be a bid bond, certified of cashier's check made payable to Allegan County. The Bid Security may be retained by the County if the successful bidder does not enter into an Agreement for the work or fails to provide both acceptable Insurance Certificates and good and sufficient Performance and Payment Bonds covering 100% of the value of the project. The Bid Security of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned after award of the contract.
