This project has been awarded to Skyline Roofing but awarded amount is not available.** High School - Roof Replacement The successful bidder will replace roof membranes on the gymnasium at Martinsburg High School. All work is to be performed in accordance with OSHA and VOSH standards and regulations. Provide all necessary lifts and equipment for work to be performed safely and in a timely manner. Remove existing EPDM and dispose off-site. (Existing insulation will remain) Lay a high-density cover board insulation set in low-rise foam adhesive over existing insulation Install new aluminum retrofit drains. Install sumps around the drains to aid in positive water drainage. Fully adhere new white 60 mil TPO membrane complete with flashings, details, and terminations per the manufacturers specifications. Flash all TPO membrane with new pressure-sensitive flashing. Membrane to be terminated under existing counter flashings with an aluminum termination bar. Provide and install new wood sleepers and a protection mat under the skid units Provide any and all new 2x6 pressure-treated wood blocking to match height of insulation. Install 1/8" per foot tapered insulation as needed in front of the HVAC units to improve the water flow/drainage via cricket panel slope toward the corner drains. Install new 24-gauge Kynar coping caps and gravel stop metal around roof perimeter. Install premium TPO walkway pads in the same configuration as existing. install new gas line blocking where existing. If existing insulation is wet or damaged, please provide price per sq ft. to replace Provide a 20-year manufacturers labor and material warranty and a 2-year contractor warranty. All proposals satisfying the requirements of this RFP will be evaluated to establish which of the bidders best fulfills the needs of the Owner and this project. There will be a maximum of one week of evaluation by the Owner. This RFP does not commit the Owner to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of the proposal or to contract for the goods and/or services offered. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received as a result of this request, to rescind this RFP, if it is in the best interests of the Owner to do so. An award will be made in the best interest of the Berkeley County Board of Education. The decision of Berkeley County Board of Education shall be final. Berkeley County Schools reserves the right to waive any technicalities or minor irregularities in responses received and to award the contract in the most beneficial manner for the district.
