The Design-Builder shall design and construct improvements to classrooms and core academic spaces, heating ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) replacement, electrical heavy up, a new elevator, windows, exterior doors, playground, and site improvements. The current DCPS staff located at the Emery building will not be swinging off-site for the full duration of construction, and it shall be assumed the facility will be occupied throughout the first and second floors until November 30, 2024. During occupied construction, all activities shall be safely and securely separated from spaces used by the staff and shall not have a negative impact on their operations. Operations maintained include accommodating staff parking, regular deliveries, food services deliveries, and trash/recycling services for DCPS staff.
