As of January 1, 2024, the project has been awarded, however, a timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Cost Estimate: $1.6 to 1.8 million. The work includes all material, labor, and equipment necessary for the installation of approximately 2,340 feet of 12" Ductile Iron water line, replacement of 19 water services, installation and removal of temporary water mains, lawn and pavement restoration as shown on the drawings and as specified. The project is located in South Middleton Township, Cumberland County. This project is being funded in part with grant funds through the Commonwealth Financing Authority Statewide Local Share Account Program and Cumberland County. All applicable funding program requirements, as further detailed in the bidding documents, apply. Bidders can utilize electronically without any initial or recurring costs. A fee of 0.33% of the bid total, capped at $5,000, is assessed only to the bidders who are awarded the project. Question Deadline: 10/23/2023 5:00 PM. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing through electronically. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. All questions that have been asked and answered through electronically. The identity of the Bidder asking the question is not disclosed to other bidders. Addenda may be issued to clarify, correct, supplement, or change the Bidding Documents. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of [_ten (10)_] percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 6.01 and 6.02 of the General Conditions. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all of Contractor's obligations under the Contract. Owner reserves the right to reject any Bid if the evidence submitted by, or the investigation of, such bidder fails to satisfy Owner that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Contract Documents and to complete the Work contemplated therein. The Owner intends to issue the Notice to Proceed on or before January 1, 2024. The Work will be substantially completed on or before April 30th, 2024, and completed and ready for final payment of the General Conditions on or before May 24th, 2024. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
