Renovation of a detention facility in Carthage, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
As of May 7, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on June 2024. All written questions shall be received by the Issuing Department no later than 10:00 am Friday, March 15, 2024. NO EXCEPTIONS. All inquiries for information concerning Instructions to Bidders, Bid Submission Requirements or Procurement Procedures shall be directed to (in writing): Terra Vuncannon, Purchasing Manager 1 Courthouse Square Carthage, NC 28327 (910) 947-4017 (Telephone) tvuncannon@moorecountync.gov Bidder must submit a 5% Bid Bond with the Bid submittal. Successful bidder must submit Performance and Payment Bonds per N.C. G.S. 143- 129(b) and N.C. G.S. 44A-26, prior to contract execution. The scope of work for this project is to replace/revitalize the HVAC systems at the Old Moore County Jail Facility which includes replacement of the existing boiler and chiller systems, along with the pneumatic control system, to a modern, digital system. The existing air handlers will be updated with new motors and VFD's at a minimum, with an option to replace the air handlers. If existing air handlers are not replaced, they shall be cleaned and restored to like-new working condition. All existing HVAC air-distribution equipment, ducts, plenums, and system components shall be cleaned according to project specifications.
