Engineering Services Asset and Inventory Assessment Study American Rescue Plan Project. Made the construction plans, specifications, and requirements available for review by prospective minority businesses, or providing these documents to them at least 10 days before the bids are due. Contacted minority businesses that reasonably could have been expected to submit a quote and that were known to the contractor, or available on State or local government maintained lists, at least 10 days before the bid date and notified them of the nature and scope of the work to be performed. In the event of any violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (a) of this section, the Contractor and any subcontractor responsible therefor shall be liable for the unpaid wages. In addition, such contractor and subcontractor shall be liable to the United States in the case of work done under contract for the District of Columbia or a territory, to such District or to such territory), for liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, employed in violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (a) of this section, in the sum of $10.00 for each calendar day in which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in paragraph (a) of this section. The intent of the County is to obtain qualifications by a professional firm for engineering services for the Public Works Department.
