The City of Lethbridge Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Headworks system currently uses (2) lugger style bins to accept screenings and grit removed from the raw wastewater stream. Once a certain amount of material has filled the bins, the bins are hauled to the Waste and Recycling Centre then returned and repositioned in the headworks facility. The WWTP now requires (2) roll off style bins to replace the existing lugger bins so that different trucks can be used for hauling. The scope of the project includes the fabrication/manufacturing, supply, and installation of (2) new roll off bins and site modifications as per the Stantec process specifications and detail drawings. In summary the work includes: a) Provide a guide rail assembly for installation in the Headworks Facility to accommodate the new bins. b) Removal of grating in the Headworks Facility to accommodate the new bins. c) Provide (2) steel-roll off containers c/w cover, including delivery to site and conformance of fit within the headworks facility. Other items within the scope include: o Assignment of Prime Contractor to the successful proponent or subcontractor for work within headworks facility. o Project schedule updates as required. o Project meetings as required; include project agenda/minutes. o Coordination with City Operations, Stantec, and Roll off Truck Supplier as needed. o ie. Grit and screenings will need to be shut off for each guide rail installation. o Submittal of any drawings for review/approval o Participation in project completion walkthrough and management/completion of any deficiencies within a reasonable time frame. This can occur either before or during confirming bin fit in headworks. o Preparation and submittal of record drawings and operations/maintenance manuals.
