Contractor shall procure and place Bark in the designated area that has been cleared and grubbed by Port Construction Services. Placement of the Bark shall not commence until a minimum of 1/2 Acre is cleared and grubbed. Port Construction Service Crews are anticipated to be clearing and grubbing the area prior to and during placement of the material and will provide access to the site. The Bark shall be placed in an approximate area of 1 Acre (43,560 SF) at a depth of four (4) Inches. Estimated quantity 535 CY. The work area is located on the West side of 18th Ave S., and on the corner of S. 200th St., in SeaTac, WA. The material shall be in accordance with Standard Specification section 9-14.5(3) Bark or Wood Chip Mulch of the Washington State Department of Transportation Standard specification for road, Bridge, and municipal construction, edition (WSDOT SS). The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials and incidentals necessary to perform the work as requested by the Port of Seattle. The Engineer's estimate range for this project is $40,000 - $70,000. The contract will last ninety (90) calendar days, from the official contract award date, which is the date the Port of Seattle signs the Agreement. No bid is required. Performance and Payment bonds will be required with the Contract. Each bond shall be in the full amount of the contract sum. Or, on contracts of one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) or less, at the option of the contractor, the Port may, in lieu of the bond, retain ten percent of the contract amount for a period of thirty days after date of final acceptance, or until receipt of all necessary releases from the department of revenue, the employment security department, and the department of labor and industries and settlement of any liens filed under chapter 60.28 RCW, whichever is later. Labor and Industries require a "Statement of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages" and "Affidavit of Wages Paid". The expense of such is the responsibility of the Contractor. Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI has a right to file a formal complaint with the Port.
