Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Boston, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

SOURCES SOUGHT: The VA West Roxbury, Boston, MA requires a contractor to provide professional services to provide all equipment, labor, and materials to replace the failing asphalt in the parking lot in front of Building 3. Work to be performed at VAMC West Roxbury, 1400 VFW Pkwy, West Roxbury, MA 02132 in accordance with the Statement of Work, Specifications, Drawings, Federal, State, and Local Codes. The contractor is responsible for removal of existing asphalt, regrade to min 2% to all drains, hauling existing asphalt, repaving, curb replacement, repainting pavement markings and restriping of the parking lot. This project will also include construction administration, drainage structures replacement/relocation, concrete walkway, a trench drain added at the parking lot entrance, replace electric manholes, adjust structures as needed, asphalt paving, replace existing curbing with a new curbing -6-inch reveal, and repaint light poles. The parking lot must include ADA compliant parking, curb cuts, striping for crosswalk, cast in place tactile mat with reciprocal ramps, and installation of solar powered pedestrian flashing light posts. The contractor should retain a licensed surveyor to provide shop drawings for grades and in-field grade staking for the parking lot (as approved by VA) to provide positive drainage in the parking lot. After parking lot paving, the final as-built drawing must be submitted by the Contractor. Any grassed areas disturbed during construction shall be fertilized and reseeded as necessary. In addition, work includes all support equipment to complete necessary repairs. This project needs coordination with another project Site Security, WRX for a new conduit layout - electronic security systems under Parking Lot #3. The construction of the parking lot must be done in phases and phasing plan in coordination with the site security work must be developed by the Contractor. Work to be performed at VAMC West Roxbury in accordance with the Statement of Work, Specifications, Drawings, Federal, State, and Local Codes. The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are qualified SDVOSBs or VOSBs, WOSBs, and Small Businesses that have the experience with this type of work and if such firms are interested in this procurement. The magnitude of construction is between $2,000,000 and $3,000,000. The NAICS code is 238990 and the small business size standard is $19 Million. Interested firms should indicate their interest to the Contract Officer, Michael Muller, no later than 4:00 p.m. EST on 10/25/2023 via email to Michael.Muller@va.gov The following information is required in response to this notice: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal in response to a solicitation for this project. (2) Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). (3) Provide one example of a recent project within the last 5 years of similar size and scope showing experience with the requirements of this project description. (5) Prime shall provide proof of bonding capacity for a project of this magnitude. (6) Prime shall provide proof of insurance for a construction project of this magnitude.
