This Request for Prequalification (“RFPQ”) is an invitation by the Board of Education of School District No. 36 – Surrey (“SD36”) to prospective respondents wishing to qualify for inclusion on a roster of qualified General Contractors that will be eligible to compete for potential work assignments as further described in the RFPQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Work”). PREQ - General Contractors for Project Greater Than $200,000 SD36 is interested in receiving submissions from General Contractors with proven experience and successful history in managing construction of public institutional facilities and school construction projects demonstrating knowledge in renovations and, construction of new schools or additions (or other public buildings). Information is only being requested at this time to identify qualified General Contractors and therefore pricing for these projects is not required and not requested at this time. It is the intent of SD36 to establish rosters of qualified contractors for the following thresholds: $200,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 $1,000,001.00 to $5,000,000.00 $5,000,001.00 to $30,000,000.00 $30,000,001.00 to $75,000,000.00 $75,000,001.00 to over The Surrey School District operates and maintains over 130 facilities including District offices, elementary schools, secondary schools, Learning Centres alternate schools, adult education centres, distributed (online) learning programs and a variety of satellite and inter-agency programs serving a wide range of specific student needs.
