The City of Wilkes-Barre will be accepting sealed bids for the DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE OF 493 South Franklin Street in the City of Wilkes-Barre. Qualified bidders must have a current City of Wilkes-Barre General or Demolition Contractor's License. The City of Wilkes-Barre reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof, and to waive any informality in the bidding. Project Description: Properties will be demolished using Office of Economic & Community Development (OCD) funds from Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Demolition of this single-family home located in an R-1 Residential neighborhood has been in deteriorating conditions for several years. Front porch and roof of property is collapsing, several broken windows, cracks in foundation exposing the property to water damage and other elements. Demolition of this project will have no effect on any other surroundings areas and or properties. Project Issues: Winning bidder is required to pull all proper permits prior to any work being done.
