Site work for a transportation facility in Pickering, Ontario. Design plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
Corridor design for a High Frequency Rail line. Scope of work: produce a comprehensive conceptual plan for a High Frequency Rail (HFR) station within the targeted area in the city of Pickering. Potential identified sites should include (as part of the concept plan) potential parking lot area, entrances off the roadways/highways, impact study, and integration into the surrounding future development fabric and other key features that are part of the development. TIMELINE: Project is conceptual only. Functional and conceptual plan for an HRF Station is ongoing. The mandate given to VIA HFR by the Government of Canada is to develop a rapid train network that will link Toronto to Quebec City by way of Peterborough, Ottawa, Montreal, Laval, and Trois-Rivières. The city of Pickering is currently not part of the mandate given by the Government; project for the entire VIA HFR is followed separately. Potential site where the station could be located has yet to be identified. Further update early 2026.
