The contract term will be 12 consecutive months upon award (January 1, 2024 - December 31, 2024). Awarded chemical pricing must be held for a period of 12 months. Estimated chemical quantities are shown on the individual bid sheets. Spartanburg Water System uses these figures for bid preparation based on past usages and does not commit in any way to purchase the quantities shown. Contracts will be considered for award after bids have been carefully evaluated. Successful bidders may not assign their obligation to another firm. A Spartanburg Water System representative will arrange the Schedule/Procedures for ordering, shipping, and receiving chemicals with the successful bidder. The bid given on each item must reflect the total cost of the material including transportation F.O.B. destination; R.B. Simms Treatment Plant, 390 Spartanburg Water Works Road, Chesnee, SC 29323 or as shown in the specifications below, or as requests mandate the service packages requested, any superfund charges, imposed taxes or other associated with the production, handling or delivery of this product. South Carolina Sales Tax will not be paid on these chemicals, as water treatment chemicals are exempt. Delivery of material will be during normal business hours 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday - Friday, unless otherwise directed.
