Completion Date: Sept. 1, 2024 New single story wood framed building for the Todd-Wadena Corrections Department. SCOPE: Mechanical Contractor shall perform all excavation required for his work. 2 EXCAVATION: Contractor shall do all excavation required to install pipe to depth shown on plans. The bottom of all trenches shall be accurately graded to provide uniform bearing and support for each section of the pipe on undisturbed soil at every point along its entire length, except for "bell holes" which shall be dug after the trench bottom has been graded. Excess excavation below the required level shall be backfilled with washed sand and thoroughly tamped. Contractor shall remove by pumping, or other means, any water which has accumulated in the excavation. Contractor shall do all shoring and bracing necessary to perform his work and required by safety. Temporary bridges shall be built by Contractor where required to maintain traffic. Refer to soil boring tests for dewatering. Refer to architectural specifications for other special requirements. Installation of underground plastic pipe shall comply with ASTM D2321.
