Site work for a water / sewer project in Seadrift, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 2870 LF of 8" Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation, 760 LF of 10" Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation, 16 Serwer Service Reconnections, Appurtenant items. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the owner or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Performance Bonds - Requires all prime contractors which enter into a formal contract in excess of $100,000, If the contract is in excess of $50,000, a payment bond is required. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and Section 3 Businesses are encouraged to submit bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
