The Alameda County Water District (District) is requesting bids from prospective Bidders for the provision of Electrical Testing Services as specified in this Invitation for Bid (IFB). The District has approximately 30 different facilities within its service area in the cities of Fremont, Newark and Union City, located in Alameda County, that have a number of breakers and protective relays which will require electrical testing on an on-call basis. There are approximately 30 facilities where electrical testing is performed as part of preventative maintenance activities. The facilities include water diversion, wells and wellfields, water treatment and production plants, booster stations and water distribution facilities, and headquarters building. These facilities operate on a 24/7 basis and depend upon safe and reliable electrical equipment and infrastructure. The Districts intent is to issue a Contract with a two (2) year base term and three (3) one year option(s) to renew at the Districts sole discretion. The Districts anticipated spend for electrical testing services is between $80,000 to $100,000 per year. Anticipated Award: December 2023 The District reserves the right to do any of the following at any time Reject any or all Bids; Waive or correct any minor or inadvertent defect, irregularity, informality, or technical error and any Bid or procedure as part of the IFB.
