The City of Sidney at 604 Clay Street in Sidney, IA is accepting proposals for snow plowing services at our Main City Streets on an "as needed" basis. Scope of Work: Work will include plowing /removing snow from the parking lots, streets and driveways. Snow shall be pushed to or placed in areas that will prevent melted water from draining back onto cleared surfaces and refreezing. The term of the contract shall be for one season. The season will run through the months of December 2023, January 2024, February 2024, March 2024 and April 2024. When The City of Sidney deems it necessary to utilize the successful bidder, the Public Works Employee will contact the successful bidder giving as much notice as possible to inform that their services will be needed. The successful bidder should only respond when contacted. The successful bidder will be responsible for any damage to City of Sidney property while removing snow. The City of Sidney will not be responsible for damage to successful bidder's equipment under any circumstances. City of Sidney has snow plowing equipment and will be helping the successful bidder in the event the successful bidder is called upon. To be considered, the vendor must: Possess appropriate state and county business licenses Provide completed snow clearing proposal sheet Possess appropriate equipment Provide 3 references with proposal Upon selection, bidder must: Provide a form W9 with Taxpayer Identification number Provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 worth of liability insurance naming City of Sidney as an additional insured.
