Construction of new wood framed building to house concessions and restrooms located at the newly renovated Football Field in Sidney, IA. The project will be performed under a One Contract with a Qualified General Contractor. Neither the Sidney Community School District nor its agents will assume liability for the inability of the bidder to submit a bid in a timely manner. Bids received after the deadline will be rejected. Bidders bear full and complete responsibility for the timely submission of such bid. Time of receipt shall be the time recorded and determined by the School District or designee. The bidder shall include all requested forms and attachments with their submission of the Bid Form; failure to comply may be cause for rejection. The project is sales tax exempt for materials and certificates will be issued post bid A pre-bid walk-thru of the project is not scheduled. Each Bid shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid submitted. Bid Security must be in the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders - Invitation to Bid and be submitted in a separate sealed envelope clearly labeled Bid Security. Bid Security must be in one of the following forms: Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Certified Share Draft or Bank Draft of Surety Company and approved Bond Form. The work shall commence per the Bidding and Construction Schedule and within ten (10) calendar days after the date set forth in written Notice to Proceed and shall be substantially completed on or before October 1, 2024, subject to any changes in the contract period as provided for in these specifications, and granted by the Board of Directors. The Work shall be finally completed by, and ready for final payment, on or before October 31, 2024, subject to any changes in the contract period as provided for in these specifications and granted by the Board of Directors. The right is reserved to reject any or all Bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities as permitted by law, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interests of the Sidney Community School District. The Board reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for a period not to exceed forty- five (45) calendar days after the date bids are to be received
