This document constitutes a Request for Proposals for a Professional Service Contract from qualified individuals and organizations to furnish those services as described herein for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Department of Highways. County - Jefferson Route - I-64 Item No. - 5-10057.00 Project Description - Bridge project in Jefferson County on I-64 WB (056B00039L) and EB (056B00039R) at Tucker Station Rd. The purpose of this project is to repair or replace the eastbound (056B00039R) and westbound (056B00039L) bridges of Interstate 64 over Tucker Station Road. The structures were built in 1963, are approximately 60 years old, and are currently in substandard condition. Both bridges were widened in 1988 by extending the abutments and piers to the inside and outside, and the decks and piers were repaired 2017. Additional improvements are needed to extend the life of the bridges. The Consultant team shall include a DBE Participation Plan with their Response to Announcement to help the Department meet the 11.95% DBE goal established by FHWA.
