Demolition and site work for an industrial development in Keene, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the demolition of a industrial development; and for site work for a industrial development.
Introduction: 1. The City of Keene seeks bids to demolish the former Findings Inc. buildings and site features at 160 Water Street. Completion time for the project will be calculated as calendar days from the date specified in the "Notice to Proceed" as follows: 45 calendar days for substantial completion. 75 calendar days for contract completion. Liquidated damages will be in the amount of: $ 500.00 for each calendar day of delay from the date established for substantial completion $ 500.00 for each calendar day of delay from the date established for contract completion The successful bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within 10 days following notification of the acceptance of his bid. The City expressly reserves the right to reject a bid from any Contractor who has within the last year, or is currently not, in substantial compliance, as determined by the City Manager, with the time requirements or other significant provisions of a City of Keene contract. This provision shall in no way be construed to prohibit the City Manager from rejecting any bid for other reasons. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive technical or legal deficiencies, and accept any proposalthat it deems in the best interest of the City.
