(1) Footprint and Capacity. The Landfill's permitted waste footprint occupies 130 acres of the 160-acre property. As of February 20, 2023, the total unused permitted footprint was 85.9 acres. The Landfill's permitted airspace volume is 25,168,202 cubic yards. The remaining airspace was 19,863,204 cubic yards as of February 20, 2023, and is projected to be 19,661,640 cubic yards as of December 31, 2023. (2) Septage Ponds. The Landfill is permitted to use up to 8.5 acres of Landfill property to operate the surface impoundment of septage. (3) Primary Activities. The primary activities of the Landfill are the transportation and deposition of refuse along with the excavation and stockpiling of cover material and soil. A defined area of the landfill is excavated, lined, and prepared to receive waste before the acceptance of refuse. Cell construction will continue as a cut-and-fill operation, and excavated materials will be used for daily, intermediate, and final cover. Existing site development and ancillary operations may include access roads, an office building/scale house, truck scale, fuel storage tank(s), water storage tank(s), stormwater retention pond(s), temporary hazardous waste storage, utilities, septage ponds, truck shop, maintenance facility, perimeter berms, and security fencing. Final Date for Inquiries: October 19, 2023 Timing. It is able to commence operating the Landfill no later than January 1, 2024.
