Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workers Compensation, must be filed with the executed Agreement. In accordance with Chapter 25 of the Township Code, all bidders must be pre-qualified by calling Debbi Yelich @ 412.831.9000 x 2170. The deadline for pre-qualification is January 8, 2024 by 3:30 P.M Bids to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidders Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Township of Upper St. Clair in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. Contracts are subject to prevailing wage requirements. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any technicality or formality therein. All Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Township of Upper St. Clair prior to receiving a copy of the project specifications. If more time is necessary for the ascertainment of the lowest responsible bidder, the Township reserves the right to award the contract at a later date, but not exceeding sixty (60) days from the date bids were submitted, and such date will be publicly announced immediately after the bids are opened.
