Site Directions: El Modena Branch Library, 380 S Hewes St, Orange, CA 92869 The work to be done in general consists of the purchase and installation of an American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant restroom adjacent to the El Modena Branch Library, clearing and grubbing, tree removal, grading and subgrade preparation, planting and irrigation restoration and utility service connections (water, sewer, electrical), including all labor, equipment and materials necessary for completion of the work. The proposed ADA compliant restroom shall be prefabricated by Public Restroom Company, model PS-011 and would be installed near the parking area of the El Modena Branch Library located at 380 South Hewes Street, Orange, CA 92869. The structure is approximately 100 square feet in size (11.5 feet by 8.5 feet) and 12.5 feet in height. The contractor shall be responsible to verify all utilities prior to the start of any work. The contractor shall be responsible to set up temporary fencing to secure the entire site during construction. The contractor shall remove the temporary fencing not later than thirty (30) calendar days after the project completion as requested by the City and no additional compensation will be allowed. CDBG El Modena Basin Public Restroom Improvement Project A is required for projects over $25,000. The City of Orange is implementing Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements and has established a DBE participation goal of 10% The bidder selected by the City must be properly licensed at the time of award as a General Engineering Contractor (Class A) The City will reject the bid as non-responsive if the bidder does not hold the requisite contractor's license at the time of award of contract. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and job-site posting requirements. The project is a public work subject to prevailing wage requirements, which can be found at electronically .
